NPMC Receives Top Performance Award
September 21, 2012
Executives for National Park Medical Center recently attended the annual conference for Capella Healthcare facilities in Franklin, Tennessee, where NPMC was awarded the Capella Healthcare Star of Excellence Award for being the company’s top performing hospital for the year of 2011. The star of excellence is the highest level achievement for Capella hospitals, and 2011 marks the third consecutive year that NPMC has received the award. “Capella and NPMC are committed to the highest standard of patient care,” said Capella’s President for the Arkansas Region, Jerry Mabry. “Employees and physicians are committed to Capella’s values and the five pillars for maintaining operational excellence.” Those pillars are quality, service, people, growth, and financial excellence. “We maintain a consistent focus on quality care, safety, patient satisfaction and community service and that’s where this award comes from.” The award is based upon a composite scoring system representing patient satisfaction, growth, physician satisfaction, quality measurements, employee satisfaction and financial stability.
In addition to the overall Star Award, NPMC received several individual awards for outstanding contributions, medical staff retention and growth. “Our team makes a daily commitment to excellence in each of their respective fields. We have an outstanding group of professionals at NPMC and I am proud of our entire team for the dedication that led to this recognition,” continued Mabry. “With or without these awards, our employees are dedicated to the highest quality of care and service.”
