The Emergency Department provides continuous care with emergency medicine physicians and nurses who provide the “high-tech, high-touch” emergency care. Advanced technology, coupled with personal care and compassion, provide patients with high quality ER care in the community. Quality and specialized services provided in the Emergency Room include:

At the National Park Medical Center ER, we are proud to provide quality healthcare quickly. In order for our medical staff to serve emergent patients as quickly as possible it is crucial for all patients to know when to use the ER.

When to Use the ER

• Emergency
Chest pain lasting two or more minutes
Sudden/Severe pain
Uncontrollable bleeding
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Sudden change in vision, dizziness or weakness
Change in mental status
Coughing or vomiting of blood
Constant or severe vomiting or diarrhea
Poisoning
Seizures
Severe Burns
Broken bones that have broken through the skin

If you experience any of the preceding, please dial 911 or visit our ER as soon as possible.

Minor Illness or Injury

• Cough, cold, earache or sore throat
Fever responding to fever reducing medication
Ankle sprains or muscle strains
Symptoms resembling an illness that is “going around”
Minor burns, cuts or bruises
Eye Infection
Bladder Infection
